GuesthouseHalf Canadian, half Finnish, Matti has lived in China since the early nineties. He was part of the team that created the Kunming Hump ten years ago, and recently left the fast paced east coast to return to laid back Yunnan and join the Dali Hump team. Matti is also a sand sculptor and loves kite jumping. TonyA talented Chinese-American musician, Tony has played for six years with The Degree Band. Born and raised in California, Tony came to China 12 years ago and has lived and worked here as a musician and performance manager ever since. You can find him at the Dali Hump Bar where he plays world music, rock and roll, and everything else.
AlyssaAlyssa is an artist and fire dancer from Minnesota who has lived in China for three years. She managed several bars and nightclubs in Kunming before moving to Dali, and now runs our bar with Tony. Alyssa speaks excellent Chinese and painted some of the murals you'll see in our rooms.
Chun LiChun Li is originally from Jiang Su province. She's been based in Dali for five years and knows all there is to know about the Dali area. She worked as an English teacher, tranlator and tour guide, before joining the Dali Hump. She now manages our reception, and organises our tickets and tours.Tang KaiFrom Kunming, Tang Kai is a chef, restaurant manager, art university graduate and painter as well as our resident expert on Yunnan tea.
