Dali is unique...a town where artists, musicians and performers come to be inspired. China is changing faster than any other country, at any time in history. Kunming is pegged to be the commercial and transport hub linking China’s east coast to South East Asia, India, and Tibet. Dali is set to be the cultural and artistic centre for the region, and we have the opportunity to steer Dali’s progress in a positive direction. Dali’s history, natural beauty, and the warm spirit of the Bai minority, have long attracted creative people from across China and the world. Now Dali is home to a multi-cultural community of artists, musicians, writers and performers. It is a place where cultural exchange inspires creativity, and creativity is the platform for cultural exchange. Dali is a beautiful place to visit. But if you’re interested in being a part of the regions’ creative and cultural scene – whether you want to learn, or have a skill to offer, stay or drop in at the Dali Hump. The Dali Hump works hand in hand with the local Bai Arts Council. We have the platform, the facilities, and the ideas but we would love your participation. The Dali Hump Studio is a space where local and travelling artists and photographers can meet, create, and share ideas. We provide paints and canvas, and you can display your work in our rooms, walls, and bar. We love your input, so paint a mural, hold an exhibition, check out our activities or suggest your own... |
